El Ministerio de Coordinación de la Producción ha anunciado la formación de un equipo interministerial para redactar el proyecto de Ley de Soberanía Alimentaria, que debe ser aprobado por el Legislativo en 120 días.
El grupo de coordinacion incluirá expertos de los ministerios de: Agricultura, Industrias y Competitividad, Relaciones Exteriores y Comercio, entre otros. Se ha solicitado cooperación del Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación (FAO) y el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA).
Con esto, se ratifica que el proyecto de Ley Agraria que fue enviado a los medios de comunicación por organizaciones campesinas aliadas al gobierno no constituye la versión gubernamental del proyecto. El texto remitido por la Mesa Agraria (agrupación de las entidades indígenas y campesinas: Fenocin, Feine, FEI, Fenacle y Coordinadora campesina Eloy Alfaro) contenía disposiciones que pusieron en duda el respeto al derecho a la propiedad.
En el mismo sentido, hoy se hizo pública una entrevista al Ministro de Trabajo, Antonio Gagliardo, quien ratificó que el modelo que busca el gobierno respeta la propiedad privada.
